How Ellis Began
Chef Lindsey Scotney, Owner, started Ellis Hospitality in Spring 2021 to help fill the growing needs of the service industry in Oklahoma after the 2020 pandemic. With more than 25 years in hospitality, Lindsey’s passion has always revolved around the people that power the restaurant business. A staffing company which both helped increase revenue for local businesses, and helped solve the staffing crisis was an obvious progression of her dreams. Ellis now has over 400 professionals trained in fine-dining and working in events, venues, hotels, resorts, clubs, and restaurants of all sizes. And we love what we do!
Chef Lindsey’s background includes managing some of the finest dining locations in Oklahoma as well as being one of Oklahoma’s few female sommeliers. She has been featured in Oklahoma Magazine in an article by Brian Schwartz entitled “A Heart for Others”. The Oklahoma Service Guild and the Church of Service (a non-religion-specific, non-profit community for service industry) are also founded by her.
Meet the Ellis Management Team
Additional members of the Ellis Hospitality Management Team include Sean Scotney, CEO, husband of Lindsey. As our resident multi-tasker, Sean supports the team in many ways behind the scenes, managing finances and operations to ensure our collective success. With his focus on growth and sustainability, he helps keep things on track so the rest of the crew can shine.
We also have Jessiqua, COO, and staffing manager. Jess keeps the Client to Contractor to Completion process as smooth and streamlined as possible. If you need a listening ear or a strong voice in your process, then Jess is your person, especially when there is staff involved.
And last, but absolutely not least, there is Brenda, CCEO, Chief Contractor Experience Officer. Brenda is our trusted professional who helps our contractors stay safe and legal. She manages our licenses and hiring processes. She also runs Sage Training Company and does regular orientations with our staff so we’re all up to date and informed.
